Camp Sunshine
Casco, ME
Camp Sunshine is a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families to come together, relate to each other, and forget about the rest of the world for a little while. Jack has been volunteering at Camp Sunshine since 2019 and continues to do so when able, particularly during the Fanconi Anemia week where families of children with his same condition get together for nearly a week over the summer.
The Ronald McDonald House is a system of locations around the U.S that provides free housing to families undergoing long-term medical procedures in a nearby medical facility. Jack's affiliation with the Ronald McDonald House started in 2002 when he and his family stayed at a house in Minneapolis, MN while undergoing a Bone Marrow Transplant. Jack has since given back to the house by empowering a Cooks for Kids volunteer group through sharing his story with them and volunteering at multiple houses around the U.S. Jack continues to be a supporter and advocate for the organization.
